Your screen time, as a garden you actually care about.

Turning on Screen Time

TouchGrass grows your garden from your real iPhone screen time, using Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. To let it work:

  1. Open TouchGrass and go through the short onboarding.
  2. When iOS shows the Screen Time access dialog, tap Allow.
  3. On the Protect tab, tap a tier and pick the apps you want your garden to track — choosing whole categories (Social, Entertainment, Games) covers the most ground.

Tapped “Don’t Allow” by accident? You can turn it on anytime: open the Maintain tab in the app, or go to iOS Settings → Screen Time.

Troubleshooting

My garden isn’t reacting to my usage.

It says “calibrating” or “Day 1.”

That’s normal on a fresh install — TouchGrass needs a day or two of real data to learn your typical usage before it can show your baseline. It fills in automatically as you use your phone.

How do I delete my data?

Everything lives only on your iPhone. Go to Maintain → Clear All Data, or just delete the app — there’s no cloud copy.

Common questions

Does TouchGrass send my data anywhere?

No. There’s no account, no server, and no analytics. Your screen time never leaves your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy.

Is this parental controls?

No — TouchGrass is for adults choosing to manage their own screen time. It doesn’t use Family Sharing and never reports to anyone.

Which iPhones are supported?

iPhone running iOS 16 or later (the Screen Time features it relies on require iOS 16+).
