TouchGrass is built with privacy as a core principle. Your screen time data never leaves your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

What Data TouchGrass Accesses

TouchGrass uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to help you manage your app usage. When you grant permission, the app can:

View your daily screen time usage per app
Set usage limits on apps you choose
Display shield overlays when limits are exceeded

Where Your Data Lives

All data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (SQLite and UserDefaults). This includes:

Your daily usage statistics
App limit configurations
Garden progress and settings
Notification preferences

None of this data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party. There is no backend.

Data We Do NOT Collect

No personal information (name, email, phone number)
No device identifiers or advertising IDs
No location data
No analytics or tracking
No crash reports sent externally
No third-party SDKs that collect data

No Accounts Required

TouchGrass does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app.

Third-Party Services

TouchGrass does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Children's Privacy

TouchGrass does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app uses Apple's individual (self-management) Screen Time authorization, which is designed for users managing their own device.
